UNICEF, the Ministry of Education and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) launched a new partnership on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) with financial support from European Union Humanitarian Aid in 2021.
The risk of explosive remnants of war and landmines remains one of the major risks for the communities living in the affected districts. As a result of the programme, so far, more than 107,000 people, including 22,000 children, benefitted from the programme.
Thanks to humanitarian funding from the European Union, the programme contributes to the education of children, families, and communities through various activities related to explosive ordnance risk education, such as needs assessment, development of communication materials, capacity building, and implementation of community and school-based activities.
